A Reader was at Turner Falls last weekend and snapped a couple pics of the "rock castle buildings".  I think the sign out front has Mr. Collings name spelled wrong.  Maybe someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Last weekend we received 5 inches of rain according to our rain gauge south of Lone Grove.   I still can hardly believe it, since most places in the area got around 2 or 3 inches of rain.  But that's what our rain gauge showed.  The rain helped a lot with the drought conditions here in southern Oklahoma, but still need a LOT more.

I now have all my webpages and files transferred to the new web hosting service.  If anyone finds a bad link or problem, let me know.

After last week's T&T and me reporting the wood pallet shed was almost finished, Jill and I decided to add an addition on to it.  The roof is hinged and can be raise up to walk inside when needed.  Jill has been busy putting shelves inside it so store oil and stuff.

Thank you."  -Reba Edwards Woody

"Butch, here is a old train in downtown Hugo, Oklahoma and the old train station.  This engine was the same kind as the Texas Chief that pulled the passenger train back in the 50's and 60's."  -Doug

"Here is some of the devastation at Ratliff City, Fox and Tatum's Oklahoma after a fire whipped by 40 mph winds yesterday.  This is all in far NW Carter county and it burned a lot of homes and this one picture is of what used to be the Fox/Graham Volunteer Fire Department. Again I say please send us some rain."   -Doug

"A video of Turner Falls today (04/11/09) not a lot of water going over the falls."  -Doug

"Our raised bed garden east of Ardmore is already feeding us onions and spinach and turnip greens.  It is really growing fast and looks beautiful and exceeding all our expectations as we are having to hand water it all due to lack of rain."   -Doug

"When I was a firefighter we would go out and rescue somebody a couple of times a year because they had driven across water running over the road and got stranded, This is 3 minutes long but it might save your life, you don't know what is happening underneath. I am going to submit this to my company as a weekly safety tip." -Doug  (video)
