Washita River

Oh the memories I have about this nasty old muddy river. :) It was momma Huey's favorite fishing spot and everyone in Russett had fished there at one time or another.

I remember it flooding and we took a boat down to where the road was covered and just explored and caught fish with our hands right on the road.

I also remember a group of us got together, led by my dad and some other men, and put a bunch of boats in near this bridge and floated down the river to Lake Texoma. Seems like it took a few days. :) I even swam it the river then. *shudder*
