Services for J.G. England, 78, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Griffin-Kennedy-Watts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Baxley officiating and Tim Lehman assisting.

Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.

Born March 18, 1919, at Russett to James G. and Mary Della Wells England, he died Sept. 12, 1997. England lived in Ardmore most of his life. He was a bookkeeper for the Smith Oil Company. England was a veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion. He was also a member of the K Street Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Josephine Epperson England, of the home; one son, Mike, Ardmore; two daughters, DeAnn Schafbuch, Piedmont, and Elaine Breed, Moore; two sisters, Edna Stark, Madill, and Dorothy England, Ardmore; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Bearers are Steve Breed, Jason Breed, Thurman Thomason, Bill Crosby, Dale Smith and Mike Whitehurst. Honorary bearers are Dub Hickman, Max Roberson, Bob Davis, Bill Schafbuch, Alfred Whitehurst, Frank Warner, Ronnie Nix, Greg Thurman and Bob Clark.

Memorials may be made to the Cross Timbers Hospice of Ardmore.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 this evening at the funeral home.
