SULPHUR -- Services for C.E. Pierce, 93, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Ritchie officiating.

Interment will be at Oaklawn Cemetery. Pierce died March 16, 1997, in Oklahoma City. He was born Nov. 2, 1903, at Russett Indian Territory, to Jim and Mary Clifton Pierce. He lived in the Drake area where he was engaged in dairy farming before he moved to Sulphur in 1963. He as a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

He and Mary Lea Mobly were married on Sept. 24 1932, at Cheyenne.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Charles, Oklahoma City, and Pat, Moore; two sisters, Naomi Tuly, Wynnewood, and Edna Newman, Broken Bow; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister and a son. Bearers will be Danny Tuly, Glen, Kevin, Mitch, Greg and Mike Pierce.

Clagg Funeral Home is in charge of services.
