Daily Ardmoreite RAVIA ‹ Services for Jess Peden, 99, will be 10 a.m. Monday at Ravia Church of God with Rocky Pettijohn and Tim Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Ravia Cemetery. Born July 13, 1900, at Burns, Texas, he died Aug. 19, 1999, at the Tishomingo hospital. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Peden. Peden was a farmer and rancher most of his life. He married Opal Wadsworth Sept. 19, 1926, at Russett and lived in Ravia and Troy all of his life. Peden was a member of Ravia Church of God. Survivors include, his wife, of the home; two sons, John and Pete Peden, both Mill Creek; one daughter, Dois Benton, Tishomingo; one half-sister, Maryetta Peden, Chicago; eight grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Bearers are grandsons. Services are under the direction of Watts Funeral Home.
