Rena Mae Albright

• MADILL -- Services for Rena Mae Albright, 84, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Watts Memorial Chapel with Lyndol Adams and John King officiating. Interment will be at Woodberry Forest Cemetery.

Mrs. Albright was born Feb. 9, 1916, in Russett, to Tom and Carrie Jester. She died Dec. 14, 2000, in Oklahoma City.

A lifetime resident of Russett and Madill, she graduated with the second class from Russett High School in 1934, from Murray State College in 1936 and Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 1938. She received her master's degree from East Central University and taught school 33 years, the past 22 in the Madill system. In 1976 she was selected Marshall County Teacher of the Year. She was a charter member of Trinity Baptist Church, a member of Retired Educators Association and board member of the Baptist Retirement Village. She and Bill Albright were married July 29, 1939, in Madill. She was preceded in death by her husband on Sept. 3, 1989; and a son, Woody.

She is survived by two brothers, Holland Jester, Russett, and Tom Jester, Canyon County, Calif.

Bearers will be Donnie and Ronnie Hartin, Herschel Beard, Ian Chapman, Jon Austin and Jerry Arterberry. Honorary bearers are Bill Parrott, Leroy Ellis, Gene Reid, Neil Duncan and members of Lois and Esther Sunday school classes.
