Daily Ardmoreite • ENOS -- Services for Ruby Laurene Shipley, 80, Kingston, were Saturday at Enos Baptist Church with Richard Gentry officiating. Interment followed at Russett Cemetery. Born June 4, 1920, at Calico Rock, Ark., to Albert and Gertrude Eden Dillard, she died Dec. 29, 2000, at Madill. She married Fred Shipley Sept. 15, 1934, at Tishomingo. He preceded her in death July 24, 1997. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Deloris Shipley; and one brother, Ralph Dillard. Raised at Calico Rock, she moved to Marshall County in 1933. She worked at the Madill Manufacturing Company for 30 years and was a member of Enos Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for more than 40 years. Survivors include two daughters Freda Crozier, Marietta, and Reba Myers, Jenks; one son, Jimmy Reese, Burleson, Texas, six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-xgrandson. Bearers are Cody Easley, Wayne Easley, Josh O'Stein, John Wakely, Billy Weaver and Donald Weaver. Services were under the direction of Watts Funeral Home. |
