William Matthew and Nancy Jane (Ragsdale) Dewbre

William Matthew "Will" Dewbre was born 2 July 1874 in Arkansas to William and Rebecca Dewbre and died 25 March 1959 in Ardmore, Carter Co., Oklahoma. He married Nancy Jane "Nannie" Ragsdale in 1899. Nannie was born 20 May 1881 in Lebanon, Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory (now Marshall Co., Oklahoma) to John Samuel and Catherine B. (Arterberry) Ragsdale and died 30 August 1946 in Ravia, Johnston Co., Oklahoma. The Dewbres lived in and around Russett. Both Will and Nannie are buried at the Russett Cemetery in Russett, Johnston Co., Oklahoma. They had 8 children:

1) Oran Chester Dewbre (21 Jul 1900 - 7 May 1971) married Della Martin. Della was born 25 Dec 1906 and died Dec 1981 (last residence per SSDI - Sentinel, Washita Co., OK). Their children were: Chester, Talmadge, Charlene, Kenneth, Patricia and Roy Neil.

2) Frankie Dewbre (29 Apr 1902 Russett, IT - 6 Dec 1981 Mannsville, Johnston Co., OK, buried at Russett Cemetery) married Tony Homer Justice, son of Willard G. and Tennessee (Risner) Justice. They were divorced. Their children were: Herman Odell, Herbert, T. Eugene, Vernon Theron, Evelyn, Oleta and Lorene.

3) Ecle Dewbre, twin of Ester, (1907 - died young);

4) Ester Dewbre, twin of Ecle, (1907 - 1913)

5) Omar John Dewbre (3 Oct 1915 - 12 Nov 1992 Mannsville, OK) was born in Whiskey Creek at Randolph Bottom near Russett, Oklahoma. John married Willie Ethelyn "Sitter" Colson on 19 Feb 1939 in Madill, Oklahoma. She was born 27 Mar 1913 and died 24 Jul 2006 in Mannsville. Her parents were Andy Lee and Elizabeth (Snider) Colson. They had a grocery store in Mannsville. Their children were: Deon and Janie.

6) Arlyn Oliver Dewbre, a triplet, (17 Dec 1917 Russett, OK - 11 Apr 2007 Lone Grove, Carter Co., OK) married Glenna Faye Rhodes, daughter of Ernest Linwood and Effie Lou (Colson) Rhodes, on 25 Jun 1946 in Madill. They had two daughters: Arithia Sue and Leisa Ramelle.
