(Andrews) Chapman, Elizabeth - Funeral services for Elizabeth Mary "Liz" Andrews Chapman will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, 2001, at First Presbyterian Church in Ardmore with Rick Mills officiating and Rev. Arlen Fowler assisting. Elizabeth Klinger will arrange the music. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill.

   Elizabeth was born Jan. 31, 1937, at Rockland St. Mary, Norwich, Norfolk, England, to the late Edward James Andrews and Helen Emma Teresa Bailey Andrews. She passed away Tuesday morning, Sept., 18, 2001, in an Oklahoma City hospital at the age of 64 years.

   Reared on a farm in England, Liz attended Rockland St. Mary Primary School for two years, Norwich High School for Girls for 11 years. She then attended Bedford College of Physical Education for three years. While at Bedford she played on the All England Women's LaCrosse Team, participating in international competitions. Liz taught physical education several years at Runton High School for Girls in Cromer, Norfolk, and at Bedgebury Park School for Girls in Kent, England.

   She married William C. "Bill" Chapman on July 4, 1964, in Rockland St. Mary, Norfolk, England and moved to the United States to settle in Madill, Okla.

   Liz was a devoted mother and grandmother who lived her life with her family as the centerpiece, and then shared her extra time with her community. Never one to complain, but instead focus on the needs of others, she devoted time to the Fran Drummond Day Care Center in Madill where she had been a member of the board since 1979, serving as past president and currently as treasurer.

   She was a devoted mother and supporter of the Madill Booster Club, Marshall County 4-H and Madill FFA. She was also active in Ardmore in the Ladies of the Leaf Literary Club, Holly Garden Club and the Joint Ventures Stock Club. She attended First Presbyterian Church of Ardmore.

   Liz was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Susan Sutcliffe; and brother-in-law Richard "Dick" Sutcliffe.

   She is survived by her husband, William C. "Bill," of the home; a daughter, Belinda Helen Chapman of Ardmore; sons, Ian Bruce Chapman and wife, Jill, of Russett, Colin Andrew Chapman of Washington, D.C., and Edward Scott Chapman of Chicago; grandsons, Luke and Lane Chapman of Russett; a brother, John Andrews and wife, Margaret, of England; a brother-in-law, Fred A. Chapman Jr. and wife, Joan, of Ardmore; nieces and nephews, Emma and Sophie and James of England, Katherine and Sarah of England, and Ruth, Elise and Eric of Ardmore; a cousin, Michael Andrews of England; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and many friends.

   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Fran Drummond Day Care, P.O. Box 247, Madill, OK. 73446.

Hubert J. Ayers  - Services for Hubert J. Ayers will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Tolbert and the Rev. Wayne Fite officiating.

   Interment will be in the Hillcrest Memorial Park.  Ayers was born April 3, 1914 at Broken Bow to the late Charley E. and Omie Hall Bradley Ayers.  He died Dec. 25, 1999 in the local hospital.  He married the former Goldie Lemons on March 5, 1935, at Russett.

   Having served in the Army during World War II, he lived most of his life in the Ardmore area.  He was the retired manager of Groendyke Transport Company, member of the Trinity Baptist Church, former member of the V.F.W., American Legion, D.A.V. and the Optimist Club.

   He was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Archie Lee Ayers, and by a sister, Rena Smith.

   He is survived by his wife, Goldie, of the home; son, James Edwin Ayers of Moore; daughter, Cleo Chaffin of Healdton; brothers, Carl Ayers of Montebello, Calif., Marvin Ayers of Yuma, Ariz., Arthur Ayers of Topock, Ariz., and Sim Ayers of Yuma, Ariz.; sisters, Pauline Speck of Grandview, Wash., and Addie Marie Martin of Wichita Falls, Texas.

   Pallbearers will be Hugh Christian, Lloyd Boggs, Jack McGehee, Joe Kemp, Joe Mallory, George Lowe, Albert Vinson and Gary Simmons.  Honorary bearers will be the Adult IV Men’s Sunday School Class, Frank Rutledge and Gene Smith.

   Memorials may be made to the Trinity Baptist Church van fund or to the Madill Baptist Children’s Home in care of Trinity Baptist Church, 25 12^th N.E., Ardmore, OK 73401.

William Kenneth Behrens - Services for William Kenneth Behrens, 71, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Watts Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Eric Ballou and Frank Behrens officiating. Music will be arranged by the Church of Christ Singers. Interment will be at Mannsville Cemetery.

   Born Aug. 2, 1932, in Lone Grove to Earl William and Ruby Mae Olds Behrens, he died July 31, 2004, at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Norma Jean Richardson and Carol Duncan; two brothers, James and Harold Behrens, and one son, Steve Behrens.

   Bill was reared in Russett and graduated from Russett High School in 1950. On May 19, 1951, he married Goldie Floudel Bearden at Ardmore. They were married for 53 years.

   Bill and Flo lived at Nicoma Park and he worked as an aircraft electrician at Tinker Air Force Base for 28 years. He retired in 1988 and moved to Madill. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Bill was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan and fisherman and a very special dad and grandpa.

   Survivors include his wife, Flo Behrens, Madill; a daughter and son-in-law, Cozetta and David Wallace, Yukon; two sons and daughter-in-law, Kenny Behrens, Ardmore, and Ron and Kim Behrens, Madill; brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank Behrens, Tulsa, Jack and Patty Behrens, Duncan, Darrell and Sandy Behrens, Aledo, Texas, and Carl and Vickie Behrens, Addington; sisters and brothers-in-law, Earlene and Phil Webb, Addington, and Linda and Mike Holdsclaw, Blanchard; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Margaret Ann (Henry) Cohen

FORT WORTH ‑ Margaret Ann Henry Cohen, 63, died Wednesday, April 13, 2005, in North Richland Hills.    Funeral: 9 a.m. Saturday at Shannon Rate Snow Funeral Chapel, Burial: Russett, Okla., Cemetery, Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.    Ann was employed by American Airlines, in New York, N.Y., from 1961 to 1969. After moving to Connecticut, she worked with her husband in his medical electronics business in Stamford, Conn., until his death in 1991. In 1995, she was employed by a private equity investment firm in Stamford. She moved back to Texas in 2003 to be near her family during her illness.

   Ann was preceded in death by her parents Virginia and Fred Henry, husband, Bernard Cohen; and sisters, Zelma Herron, Mary Robison and Dorothy Browning.

   Survivors: Brothers, Eugene Guyman and Jerry Henry; sisters, Sylvia Ostby, Freda Clifton, Billie Amyett, Barbara Duncan, Carolyn Massey and Gwen Marshall; 32 nieces and nephews, numerous great-nieces, and great‑nephews; several great-great nieces and nephews; uncles, David lsham of Oklahoma and Ray Isham of Florida; and numerous cousins. She is also survived by her in-laws, Eileen Goldman and family and Sanford Cohen and family of Massachusetts. Ann will be remembered by her dear friends from all over the U.S., some  of whom friendships she enjoyed for more than 40 years.

Leona E. (Lemons) James.  The funeral service for Mrs. Leona Edna James 73, is set for 2 p.m. Saturday in Roberts and Son Funeral Home chapel.  Rev. Arthur Moraine, pastor of The Wesleyan Church, will officiate.  Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery.  Mrs. James was a retired clerk and longtime Avon representative.  Mrs. James died at 5:42 a.m. Wednesday in Blackwell Regional Hostel.

   She was born Aug. 3, 1916, in Madill, grew up there and attended Madill schools.  On May 19, 1934, she married Ancel Jewel James in Madill and they made their home in Madill until moving to Blackwell in 1940.  She began working for Harry’s Grocery on East Blackwell and later was a clerk for J. C. Penney’s, Hunt’s , C. R. Anthony and General Dollar Store.  Throughout the years, she was a representative for Avon products.

   She was a member of The Wesleyan Church and taught Sunday School and was church secretary.  She also belonged to Blackwell Business and Professional Women’s Club and to Al-Anon.

   Her husband preceded her in death March 3, 1983.

   Survivors are three daughters, Delnah Stafford of Guthrie, Linda Collins of Sand Springs and Goldia Clonts of Blackwell; one son, Ancel Michael James of Blackwell; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Goldia Clonts of Blackwell, Nova McDaniels of Wichita and Jill Horstman of Ponca City, and three brothers, Lawrence Lemons of Oklahoma City, Clifford Lemons of Edinburg, Texas, and Nolan Lemons of Dallas, Texas.

   In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Hobart Lemons, and a sister, Clara Willis.

   There is a memorial in her name to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation cancer fund.  The funeral home will act as custodian of the fund.

Fred Holland Jester
   Services for Fred Holland Jester, 72, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Gniech officiating. Interment will follow at Russett Cemetery.

   Jester was born March 5, 1930, in Russett to Tom and Carrie Waggoner Jester. He died Aug. 4, 2002, after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, W.C. Jester; a sister, Rena Mae Jester Albright; a son, Fred Holland Jester Jr.; and his first wife, Darlene Dowell Jester.

   He attended school at Cedar Hill and Russett and graduated from McLish High School in 1947. He attended Easter A&M College in Wilburton and graduated from Oklahoma A&M University in Stillwater. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and saw action in the Korean conflict. He was a lifelong farmer, rancher and professional livestock auctioneer responsible for registered Angus sales across the United States. He owned and operated Johnston County Feed and Supply for 25 years before retiring to raise cattle on his Russett farm. He was very active in Johnston County civic and community affairs.

He was a proud husband, father and grandfather who will be missed by his family and many friends.

   He is survived by his wife, Deborah, of the home; two sons, Steven Jester, Pauls Valley, and Jonathan Austin, of the home; six daughters, Karen Brown and husband, Billy, North Richland Hills, Texas, Sharen Turney and husband, Charles, of New Albany, Ohio, Debbie Kosiek and husband, Paul, of Carol Stream, Ill., Deborah Ann Arterberry and husband, Jerry, of Madill, Elizabeth Austin, Madill, and Sara Austin, Stillwater; a brother, Tom Jester and his wife, Billie, of Canyon Country, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

   Bearers will be Tom Burch, Curtis Parker, Henry Glenn, Wade Wood, Mark Hughes and Ian Chapman. Honorary bearers are Wayne Houser, Charles Richards, John C. Jones, A.B. Elrod, H.C. Rackley, Larry Wood, Guy Combes and Dick Burrows.

Rena Mae (Jester) Albright

Services for Rena Mae Albright, 84, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Watts Memorial Chapel with Lyndol Adams and John King officiating. Interment will be at Woodberry Forest Cemetery.

  Mrs. Albright was born Feb. 9, 1916, in Russett, to Tom and Carrie Jester. She died Dec. 14, 2000, in Oklahoma City.

A lifetime resident of Russett and Madill, she graduated with the second class from Russett High School in 1934, from Murray State College in 1936 and Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 1938. She received her master's degree from East Central University and taught school 33 years, the past 22 in the Madill system. In 1976 she was selected Marshall County Teacher of the Year. She was a charter member of Trinity Baptist Church, a member of Retired Educators Association and board member of the Baptist Retirement Village. She and Bill Albright were married July 29, 1939, in Madill.

   She was preceded in death by her husband on Sept. 3, 1989; and a son, Woody. She is survived by two brothers, Holland Jester, Russett, and Tom Jester, Canyon County, Calif.

   Bearers will be Donnie and Ronnie Hartin, Herschel Beard, Ian Chapman, Jon Austin and Jerry Arterberry. Honorary bearers are Bill Parrott, Leroy Ellis, Gene Reid, Neil Duncan and members of Lois and Esther Sunday school classes.

   Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today

C. L. Lemons, Lebanon Native, Dies on Sunday.  Clarence Levi Lemons, 80, a native of Lebanon, died Sunday in Madill where he had been a hospital patient 17 days.

   Funeral services were conducted Tuesday morning from the Russett Baptist church where he had been a member 15 years.  He had made his home at Russett in more recent years after living north of Madill more than 50 years where he farmed.

   Rev. Kennth Cothran officiated at the funeral.  He was assisted by Royce Lasiter with L. W. Easterwood in charge of singing.  Burial was in Russett cemetery under the direction of Watts Funeral Home.

   Mr. Lemmons was born March 28, 1885, at Lebanon, I.T.  He was married July 30, 1905, at Pettijohn Springs.  She died July 24, 1959.

   He is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Leona James and Mrs. Geraldine Hortman, both of Blackwell, Mrs. Clara Willis of Madill, Mrs. Goldie Ayres of Ardmore and Mrs. Nova McDaniel of Wichita, Kan.; three sons, Clifford of Edinburg, Tex., Lawrence of Oklahoma City and Nolan Lemons of Dallas; 21 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

   Also, two half-sisters, Minnie Landers of Wichita, Kan., and Mrs. Queen Reich of Sulphur, La., and a half-brother, Ted Lemons of Fort Worth.

   Pallbearers were Haskell Greenroyd, Preston Hortman, Jr., Paul Wayne Lemons, James Ayres, Billy E. Willis, Kenny Chaffin and Don Harryman.

Clifford R. Lemons.  RUSSETT – Services for Clifford R. Lemons, 78, will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Russett Baptist Church.  Interment will be at Russett Cemetery.

   Lemons, the son of the late Clarence and Katie Belle Lemons, was born here Aug. 25, 1913 and graduated from Russett High School.  He died Wednesday at a hospital in McAllen, Texas.

   Lemons was a World War II veteran and a member of the American Legion, the Disabled War Veterans and First Baptist Church.

   Survivors include his wife, of the home, Pernie Lemons, Edinburg; two daughters, Narcessa Rall, Edinburg, and Carolyn Deck, McAdllen, Texas; two brothers, Lawrence Lemons, Oklahoma City, and Nolan Lemons, Dallas; three sisters, Goldia Ayers, Ardmore, Geraldine Horstman, Ponca City, and Nova McDaniel, Wichita, Kan.

   He was preceded in death by a brother, Hobart Lemons, and two sisters, Leona James and Clara Willis.

   Watts Funeral Home in Madill is in charge of funeral arrangments.

Goldie R. (Lemons) Ayers

    Services for Goldia "Goldie" Ruby Irene Lemons Ayers, 89, will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006, at Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Tolbert officiating.  Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery.

    Born on Oct. 21, 1917, in Russett, Okla., to Clarence Levi and Katie Belle Ragsdale Lemons, she passed peacefully from this life on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006, at a Healdton health care facility.

    She married Hubert James Ayers on March 5, 1936.  She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 25, 1999; her dad on July 11, 1965; her mother on July 24, 1959; a granddaughter, Janet Diane Ayers on Feb. 22, 1965; four brothers, Nolan Lemons, Larence Lemons, Clifford Lemons and Hobart Lemons; and two sisters, Clara Willis and Leona James.

    Goldie graduated from Russett High School.  After her marriage to Hubert they moved to California for a short time then returned to Ardmore and made their home.  She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church where she was a faithful and dedicated member.  She loved to visit the sick and shut-in members of her Sunday school class as long as she was able.  Her life revolved around her God and her family.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.

    Survivors include a son, James Ayers and wife, Margie, Moore; a daughter, Cleo Chaffin and husband, Ken, Healdton; two sisters, Nova Lemons McDaniel, Wichita, Kan., and Geraldine Lemons Horstman, Blackwell, seven grandchildren, James Ayers, Brian Ayers, Ellen Walker, Kevin Ayers, Cheryl Bowhay, Christy Holden, and Lorie Gray; 16 great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Ayers, Brandi Ayers, Brittany Ayers, Jonathan Walker, Keegan Walker, Jamee Bowhay, Brandon Bowhay, Shea Holden, Drew Holden, Emilee Holden, Steven Holden, Julia Holden, Isabella Gray, Daxon Gray, Christopher Gray and Victoria Gray; and great-great-granddaughter, Brooklin Paige Ayers, Oklahoma City.

    Bearers will be grandsons, Kevin Ayers, Jim Ayers, Doug Gray, Rich Holden and James Bowhay and great-grandson, Drew Holden.

Hobart Lemons. Funeral Held for Hobart Lemons, Traffic Victim; Long-Time Area Man Dies Shortly After Accident.  Funeral services for Hobart John Lemons, 51, Mannsville, fatally injured in a traffic accident Thursday, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Russett Baptist church.

   A life-long resident of Marshall county, Lemons was a carpenter and member of the Baptist church.

   Born September 2, 1908, near Pettijohn Springs, he attended Russett school and resided in that community 30 years prior to moving to California.  He has been back in this area two years.

   Survivors include his widow Mrs. Ruth Lemons; two sons, Sonny in service in Korea, and Jackie, Russett; one daughter, Miss Carolyn Lemons, Russett; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Lemons, Madill; five sisters, Mrs. Gerald Horstman and Mrs. Leona James, Blackwell, Mrs. Clara Willis, Minco, Mrs. Goldie Ayres, Ardmore, and Mrs. Nova McDaniels, Wichita, Kan.,; and three brothers, Clifford Lemons, Edinburg, Tex., Lawrence Lemons, Oklahoma City, and Nolen Lemons, Dallas.

   Officiating at the funeral service was the Rev. R. E. Alsup, pastor of the First Baptist church of Madill assisted by the Rev. R. R. DeLoach.  Burial, under the direction of Watts Funeral home, was in Russett cemetery. 

   Pallbearers were J. B. Thomas, Fred Shipley, Herb Hudgens, Tommy Shaw, Dink Waggoner and Sam Adams.

Mrs. Katie Belle Lemons.  Final Rites for Mrs. Lemons in Russett Church.  Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Sunday in the Russett Baptist church for Mrs. Katie Belle Lemons, 73, who died July 24 in Ardmore.  In poor health the past several years, Mrs. Lemons became critically ill a few days ago.

   Born in Lebanon, Indian Territory, May 24, 1886, Mrs. Lemons spent her entire lifetime in Marshall County.  She was married to Clarence L. Lemons July 30, 1905, at Pettijohn Springs and was an active worker in the Baptist church.

   Survivors include:  her husband of the home, Rt. 2, Madill; five daughters, Mrs. Geraldine Horstman and Mrs. Leona James, Blackwell; Mrs. Clara Willis, Minco; Mrs. Goldie Ayres, Ardmore, and Mrs. Nova McDaniels, Wichita, Kan.; three sons, Clifford Lemons, Edinburg, Tex.; Lawrence Lemons, Oklahoma City; and Nolan Lemons, Dallas; 23 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

   Officiating was the Rev. Morris.  Burial was in Russett cemetery under the direction of Watts Funeral Home.

   Pallbearers were Leonard Biles, L. W. Easterwood, Ding Waggoner, Ott Looney, Jim Green and Bill McCluskey.

McDaniel, Nova B., 85, retired JC Penney associate of 28 years; beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 14, 2007. PERNIE FRANCES LEMONS.  EDINBURG – Pernie Frances Lemons was born Sept. 18, 1921, in Lone Grove, Okla.  She passed away March 8, 2004, at McAllen Medical Center.

   Pernie Frances was a member of the First Baptist Church of Edinburg. As a young child she moved with her family, the late John and Jewell Beam, to Russett, Okla., where she attended a small country school.  She was captain of the girl’s basketball team and graduated as salutatorian of her senior class.  On June 15, 1940, Pernie Frances married Clifford Raymond Lemons in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, and moved to the Rio Grande Valley 57 years ago.  Together, the young couple raised two daughters.

   Pernie Frances graduated from Pan American College in 1958.  She taught in the Edinburg school district for 30 years.   She had a love for learning and continued her education with life certificates as counselor, Diagnostician, Special Education and Speech Therapy.  After retirement, she continued her education at the Reynaldo G. Garza School of Law with a degree of Doctor of Jurisprudence on Aug. 24, 1995.

   Pernie Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Raymond Lemons in 1991.  She is survived by her daughters, Tessa Rall and son-in-law, David Rall of Edinburg and Carolyn Deck and son-in-law Steve Deck of McAllen.  Survivors include six grandchildren, Kimberly Anne (Michael) Grant of Houston, Missy Nicole (Shawn) Ayres of Houston, Michael Deck of Austin, Jonathan Rall of Dallas, Linda Marie Rall of Dallas and Stephanie Caroline Rall of Austin; great-granddaughter Sarah Nicole Grant and great-grandson Wilson Michael Grant’ brother, Charlie Beam and sister-in-law Jackie of San Antonio and sister-in-law Beth Beam of Victoria.

   Pernie Frances was a devoted wife, mother, friend and role-model for all who knew her.  She had many God-given talents and interests.  Two of her favorite hobbies were baking pastries and growing God’s beautiful plants and flowers.  Everyone and everything she touched bloomed and blossomed.  To her family she was the air they breathe and the wind beneath their wings.

   Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2004, at Kreidler Funeral Home in McAllen.  Memorial serives will be at Russett Baptist Church in Russett, Oklahma.  She will be laid to rest near her husband in Russett Cemetery.

LEMONS, Larence (Lawrence) Edward, passed into Heaven Sat. Aug. 2, 1997.  He was born in Simon, Ok in Love County, to Clarence & Katie Lemons.  The family moved to Russett, Ok where Larence lived his growing up years.  He was a part of a very large & loving family, consisting of 4 brothers and 5 sisters.  Larence was raised by a precious mom who was always there to love, care, guide & give each of her 9 children every individual need of their hearts.  He married his high school sweetheart, Lindle Lee James, on July 8, 1933.  Before their wedding day, he built his bride a modest log cabin home.  He didi it all by himself, cutting each log by hand, cutting all the singles for the roof.  They celebrated 63 years of marriage in 1996.  Larence was proud of the fact that he helped build the historic tower standing on the hill at Lake Murray.  He & Lindle moved to OKC in the late ‘30s with their two children, Bob & Barbara Ann.  For a time, he worked in the grocery store business and then began working in the sheet metal dept. at Tinker Field AFB, repairing airplanes.  He retired with honor from TAFB after 35 years.  He then worked for the old Capitol Hill Bank and pastured a small mission church in Moore, Ok.  Preceded in death by his wife, Lindle, by just one month; his son, Bobby Lee; his parents; 2 sisters, Clarie Willis & Leona Lemons James & 2 brothers, Hobart & Clifford.  He is survived by 2 daughters & their husbands, Barbara & Ron Benson of OKC & Kathy & Kim Lockwood of Edmond; a brother, Nolan of Tx; 3 sisters, Godlie Ayers of Ardmore, Ok, Nova McDaniels & Jill Horstman, both of Wichita, Ks; 5 grandchildren, Tammie Griffin, Sandy Neal, Brandon, Jeff & Katy Lockwood; great grandchildren, Tiffany & Tyler Griffin & Morgan Tate Neal; nieces & nephews.  The family would like to thank R. J. Cosner of Vondel Smith South; Dr. Kerry Cranmer & his chief assistant, Pam Chadwell; & Rev. LEMONS, Lindle Lee, 83, passed away into Heaven, Thurs., June 26, 1997.  She fought with courage and strength a long battle with multiple health problems, the last 18 months.  She was a charming lady of God, living her whole life to serve others.  She & her husband were married July 8, 1933, in Russett, OK.  They celebrated their 63^rd, wedding anniv. LEMONS, Nolan of Farmers Branch, went to be with the Lord on September 22, 2006.  Nolan was born October 17, 1921 in Russett, Oklahoma to Clarence and Belle (Ragsdale) Lemons.  He served in the U S Army Air Force from 1945 to 1946.  He was employed by Pilot School for the Deaf (now Callier) for 26 years and Eastman Kodak for 11 years.  He was preceded in death by son DeWayne Nolan Lemons.  Survived by his wife Malacha; daughters Sherry Pardue and husband Steve, and Nova Ann, both of Farmers Branch; son Paul Lemons and wife Gwen, of Forney; ten grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Goldia Ayers of Ardmore, Oklahoma, a twin Nova McDaniel of Wichita, Kansas, and Jill Horstman of Blackwell, Oklahoma.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 25, 2006 at 10:00 A.M., at the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234, with burial at Oakland, Oklahoma. S. G. "Pete" Littlepage was born on September 19, 1926 in Battiest, Oklahoma to M. A. Littlepage and Delia Griffin Littlepage. He graduated from Battiest High School and served in the United States Army during WWII. He received the WWII Victory Medal, and the Pacific Campaign Medal. He received a Bachelor of Science in Education from East Central University and a Masters degree in Administration from the University of Oklahoma. Since 1950, the name S. G. "Pete" Littlepage has been a part of the educational system in Johnston County. As basketball coach, Principal, English teacher and Superintendent, Mr. Littlepage spent 41 years in education. He taught and coached in Pontotoc and Russett. He was the Principal at Ravia High School and in 1963, Tishomingo High School. In 1966, Pete was selected at the Superintendent for the next school year and served as Superintendent for 25 years, retiring in 1991. Pete became the epitome of success as an Administrator in Johnston County. He was named Citizen of the Year in 1988 by the Johnston County Chamber of Commerce and was also named the Distinguished Administrator of the year by the Oklahoma Association of School Administrators. Mr. Littlepage enjoyed life and his many friends. His passion was his family and flying his airplane. He had a unique God given ability to reach out to people in need and touched many lives with his generosity *in an anonymous way Pete and his smile will be deeply missed. but his spirit will be with us until we are together again in heaven.

   He was preceded in death by his Parents and his Brother: Bob Littlepage.

   He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Wanda Coale Littlepage of the home; his Daughter & Son-In-Law: LuAnn & Gary Hulsey of Oklahoma City; (2) Grandchildren: Dr. Greg Hulsey and his wife Darcy and Alexis Hulsey Benson and her husband John, all of Oklahoma City; (2) Great-Grandchildren: Jack Hulsey & Laney Benson; and his Brother: Clark Littlepage of Ada.

MARTIN, ANDREW (JACK), 87, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2007 at the Masonic Home of Louisville. He was born August 1919 in Russett, OK, one of 10 children. He graduated in 1940 from Murray College in Tishomingo, OK, the first in his family to graduate from an institution of higher learning. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army Air Corps as First Sergeant and a member of Strathmoor Presbyterian Church since 1942. His entire working life was in sales, and retired as President of Broadway Chevrolet American Car Rental leasing division. He was a 33rd degree Mason, and a member of Daylight Lodge, a member of the Highland Kiwanis, and a Schriner. He is survived by his wife of 65 years the former Esther (Egelhoff) Martin; sons, Andrew "Skipper" Martin (Hana) of Louisville and Michael Lee Martin of Chicago; daughter Kay Ball (Tim) of Louisville, grandchildren, Kelli Rodman (Mike), Drew Martin (Adrienne), Scott Martin (Carol Beth), Dr. Josh Denny (Carolyn), Rebecca Ball, Robert Ball, Ryann Ball, Rachel Ball; great- grandchildren Hallie Rodman, Jack Rodman and three on the way. He is also survived by his brother, Donald Martin and a sister, Jo Asbury of Oklahoma. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, June 25, 2007 at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home 3331 Taylorsville Rd. Jerry Douglas Mays - Services for Jerry Douglas Mays, 63, Dickson, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Assembly of God Church with Brother Tom Estes and Brother James Tynes officiating. Music will be arranged by Sister Mary Tynes. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Ardmore. Arrangements are under the direction of Watts Funeral Home.

   Born Dec. 13, 1942, at Courtney to Joseph Earnest and Hattie Bell Arledge Mays, he passed away June 17, 2006, at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Cassie Nicole Mays; five brothers, Joseph Earnest Mays Jr., Kenneth Ray Mays, Wilbie Odis Mays, Donnie Van Mays and Roger Gale Mays and one sister, Muriel Jean Mays.

   He grew up in the Courtney -- Ringling area and graduated in 1961 from Russett High School. He married Katherine Armstrong July 16, 1962, at Madill. Jerry moved to White Settlement, Texas in 1963 and moved to Dickson in 1980, where he lived the rest of his live.

   Jerry worked as a sheet metal mechanic at Holt Allied Services for several years before retiring in 2002. He attended Mannsville Assembly of God Church. Jerry enjoyed going to cattle sales, farming and loved his cattle.

   Survivors include his wife, Katherine, of the home; sons, Ernie Mays and his wife, Darla, Mannsville, and Jason Mays and his wife, Debra, Dickson; eight grandchildren, Amber Reynolds and her husband, Ryan, Mannsville, Meagan Mays, Mannsville, Luke Mays, Dickson, Caleb Mays, Dickson, and Hannah Mays, Dickson; one great-grandchild, Trinity Laine Reynolds, Mannsville; brothers, Arthur Eligh Mays, Las Vegas, Ralph Dean Mays, Norman, Darrell Lee Mays, Dickson, Lonnie Dale Mays, Ardmore, Tommy Joe Mays, Mannsville, and Gary Paul Mays, Ardmore and sisters, Mary Sue Barnes, Ringling, and Nelda Ann Rich, Ringling.

David H. 'Dave' Morgan - Graveside rites for David Henry "Dave" Morgan, 70, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Russett Cemetery with Jerry George officiating.

   Morgan died June 16, 1998, at his home in Mill Creek. He was born Oct. 22, 1927, at Russett.

   Married to Lawanda June Allen Sept. 18, 1948, at Madill, he lived in Mannsville and Dallas before moving to Mill Creek in 1955. He was a mechanic. His wife preceded him in death Sept. 25, 1994.

   Survivors include a son, Roger, Tishomingo; a daughter, Debrah J. Cornelius, Mill Creek; a brother, Tom, Tucson, Ariz.; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, David Wayne.

Louella Riffe Oglesby - Louella Riffe Oglesby, 91 of Ravia, passed away Tuesday December 11, 2007, at her home in Ravia. She was born in Ravia to the late David M. Riffe and Susan Parham on July 21, 1916. Louella was raised in Ravia where she graduated from Ravia High School. She later graduated from Murray State College in Tishomingo and continued her education at a college in California where she received a Masters Degree.

   Louella taught students front kindergarten age to College for 39 years, and also for three years in Japan She was always taking books to Ravia School for the kids to read. She married Wesley Oglesby on January 2, 1937 in Ardmore; he preceded her in death on Sept. 20, 1947.

   Louella was a member of the Old Settlers of Ravia, several teaching organizations, and was also a member of the Russett Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading gardening and sewing. 

    She is survived by her grandsons and wives Mike Ducummon and wife Peggy of Ravia, Steve Ducummon and George Ducummon both of Tulsa and Donald Ducummon and wife Debbie of Adair; four cousins, Jack Riffe of Sulphur, Foy Phillip, of Harrah, Shelby Parham of Enid and Tim Phillips of Yorba Linda, Calif.; four great‑grandchildren, eight great‑great‑grandchildren and one great‑great‑great grandchild.

   Louella was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, and one daughter, Marie Ducummon.

   Graveside services were held Saturday' Dec. 15, at 11a.m. at the Ravia Cemetery, Tom Franks officiating. Services were held under the direction of Watts Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Madill.
