From my August 2012 newsletter
“Butch, in your “This n That” Doug Williams mentions a cement post on the corner of MLK and K St. NE. At the east end of the block there used to be a Seven Day Adventist school years ago. All that was left was the posts that were used for a fence around the school. My husband dragged 2 posts down to our place and put them up for a fence around our house. Originally that block of land was owned by a family named Payne.” -Melba Wallace

Below is the Healdton, Oklahoma fire department in 1957.

Below is the old Seventh Day school building (I think) at 1020 8th Ave NW. Bargain Lady. Seems like in the 1970 it was used by the seventh Day Adventist for another purpose? Clothing store? Anyone know let me know.

Money does not go into a deceased person’s account for the month of death or afterward; instead, any payments received for or after the month of death must be returned to the Social Security Administration.
I’ve been having great success the past few weeks connecting Oklahomans with their unclaimed insurance at the State Treasurers website in Oklahoma City. This will be money available for them to claim they knew nothing about. This will include as of yesterday over $200,000 to several members of the Giles family in Ardmore. If you have not checked the State’s website for your name or members of your family’s name, I encourage you to do so at the link below.

The Tech Corner
We read a lot about people getting hacked. Keep in mind you are probably not getting hacked by “a person” but by an automated Bot. AI bots are searching the internet 24/7 for anyone who’s network or cellphone it can find to access, and take over. We must try and protect our home network and cellphones.
These is some websites Surfshark blocked just today as malware.

Since April I’ve had my home network, 3 computers, 2 cellphones, 5 security cameras and 2 Smart TVs, all protected from prying eyes and Bots using Surfshark’s VPN (virtual private network). Hard to get better peace of mind for $2.79 a month including all their other protection services while connected to the internet. Check it out at the link below.
