Motorists are happily taking advantage of lower gasoline prices as distributors and retail service station outlets prepare for what has the earmarks of an all-out gasoline price war. The lowest price in the memory of local distributors was set Saturday morning when the price was dropped to 22.9 cents per gallon. The oil companies may be having their ups and downs but the average motorist, things just couldn’t be better.

“Wrestler Danny Hodge (mentioned in the T&T vol. 11, issue 544, June 28, 2007) was at OU the one year I attended that University. I did not see it myself, but, it was said that if you handed Danny a new pair of pliers, he could grip them one handed and break off at least one side of the tool. Obviously, a young man of considerable strength.” -Harold Burton, Ardmore, OK

Butch, When I was growing up and living on Stanley in the early 50s, there was a small toy shop located in a woman’s garage just to the west of Lincoln school. All I remember is the door was located on the west side of the building. The name could have been something like the Toy Cupboard. I just don’t remember any more. I have several Dinky Toy vehicles that my mother bought for me from there. They are metal and were manufactured in England. I still have all of them and most of them are in their original boxes. Does anyone know anything about that?
