Hope everyone in this area have done their last minute shopping in preparation for the coming ice and snow storm. Looks bad on the radar. I’ve gone to Walmart the last two days getting a few things just in case. My main concern is if the ice storm brings down the power lines. Praying it does not happen.
RE: Bamco Auto Parts Store
“Bamco stood for Bill and Monte corporation. They owned a part store in Ada and hired my dad, Joe Dean McReynolds, to start one in Ardmore at 821 Grand in 1967. My dad bought the Ardmore store from them in 1976 then sold it in 1980 to Larry, Glenn & Roger Hatley and Lyman Eubanks. All my childhood was brought up in that store. Always love seeing Bamco stuff.” -Joe David McReynolds

Norton cemetery located in SW Johnston county located east of the Norton bridge overlooking the Washita river valley. The cemetery is knee deep in very thick grass so some graves were probably not found. The oldest is WM Mills a female born in Feb 1826 so she is 200 years old. -Doug Williams

Someone asked me to Post a webpage I made many years ago about the El Paso 10 story that took place at the Ardmore Airpark in 1976.

Phillip Capshaw asked where Oakland Park was located in Ardmore, Oklahoma many years ago. The best answer I can find is at the end of East Main Street where City Park is located now. Dixon Street? I can not find where that street is located in Ardmore.

For all you procrastinators who waited to late to buy ice shoes with spikes in the sole, below is the ones I made by putting metal screws in the soles. I think the screws were 3/8th inch long. Worked great. I tried and tried to slip down on the solid sheet of ice in 2023 and could not. There was NO WAY I could slip on the ice.

Last year a lady called me about some info on the Goddard Ranch NE of Gene Autry. I lost her phone number. If you are reading this, please call me again. 580-490-6823
