“Butch…that is an old Jet Commander. If it has 5 windows, it was the original Commander also known as the 1121 Westwind. Those were made at the Aero Commander manufacturing site that used to be at Wiley Post Airport in OKC. They were made between 1960 and 1968. In 1968, the Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI) acquired the Westwind line and in 1971 stretched them a bit. So if it has 6 windows it’s an 1123 Westwind. Then later they upgraded the engines and designated them the 1124. Those were ahead of their time. Today airworthy ones are worth a fortune. Still considered a Cadillac corporate jet. Later Gulf Stream Areospace, a subsidiary of General Dynamics, bought out Aero Commander. Today they make top-of-the-line Gulf Stream G650. Those are considered the Rolls Royce of corporate jets.” -Gary Henry

Q. What was the name of the grocery store that used to be at Tiffany Plaza (now Thompson Square).
A. Bestyet, then Buy For Less. Since we have a Bestbuy Distribution center here in Ardmore, you’d think we’d have a Bestbuy store in Ardmore. Nope. 🙁

I have over 29,000 photos on my computer, so I do a lot of photo and file transfers, uploading and downloading. A couple weeks ago I found a totally free utility for non-commercial use to make these tasks a lot easier, especially when trying to transfer photos on my Android phone to my computer. It’s called Blip. Blip is a cross-platform file transfer application designed to send files and folders of any size directly between devices without using cloud storage. Often described as a “universal AirDrop,” it allows for real-time, point-to-point transfers between Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS. Check it out at the link below.

My Facebook never ceases to amaze me. A month ago I had about 3,000 followers. As of today I have over 7,100 followers on Facebook. Not to mention my 4,963 active Friends. I’m just an old worn out ambulance driver and never imagined (or planned) my Facebook would end up like it is today. All in 19 years. It’s humbling. Thanks everyone.
