I have several “rocks” like this, with this being the largest. Maybe some of my geologist friends on here can tell me what kind of “rock” this is. Its VERY heavy, like heavy as lead and very dense, you can’t put a scratch on it. Maybe its a meteorite?? I have several smaller rocks like it. Any takers?

Q. I was looking for the location of the KVSO TV tower that was hit by a tornado in 1957. I know it is west of Dougherty on 77. Do you know the exact location or someone who does?
A. The tower was at the north county line and 77. The tower was destroyed by a 1957 tornado and hit a truck. I assume it was travelling on 77. The new tower was built at the current location and is still there today.

Q. When did the community swimming pool at 3rd and F NE open?
A. The community pool at 3rd and F Northeast opened May 28, 1955

Many tornadoes happening the past few days all over the U.S. Remember when power lines and cell towers are destroyed, HAM radio operators with generators or solar power may be the only form of communications inside that devastated area. You can use the website https://haminfo.tetranz.com/map to look up operators in the U.S. by zip code including addresses.

Thinking you’d like to become a licensed HAM radio operator? Below is a 2-day FREE online class via Zoom coming up the end of May 2026.

My free VPN program has been working great since April 18th protecting my 3 computers, 2 cellphones and other online devices. It has sped up the 3 computer and both cellphones! Runs a virus check everyday (non found), and keeps spam and scammers off.

I been looking for a backup program that’s free and backs up my 29,000 pictures and 512,000 files (293Gigs) to an external hard drive. I’ve installed/tested 3 or 4 and finally found one that works great.
